Description

Here is a 2011 Chevy Camaro 2SS Convertible Indy Pace Car with the RS package that includes the high intensity discharge HD headlights and unique taillights. 2011 was the 100th Anniversary of both Chevrolet and the Indy 500 so it made alot of sense to join the two together. A limited number was also sold to Canada. This car only has 32 ACTUAL MILES on it. That is amazing!! The 2011 Camaro Convertible is the 22nd Chevrolet and the 7th Camaro to be chosen to pace the Indy 500. The orange and white color combo is similar to the 1969 Camaro Indy Pace Car, replicas of which have become among the most popular Camaros in the collector car world. All the Camaro pace car convertibles are SS models equipped with the 6.2 liter engine and the choice of a 6 speed manual or 6 speed automatic. In 2011 Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale auction along with Chevrolet auctioned the first 50 Indianapolis 500 Festival Committee car with all the proceeds going to Charity. The first one across the block sold for $225,000. All the Camaro pace car and the Festival Committee car are SS Convertibles fitted with the 2SS equipment package. These Camaro Convertibles delivers Coupe lie driving dynamics with the fun of open air driving. The goal was for these Convertibles to drive like the Coupe. All the power train and suspension elements of the existing Camaro Coupe carry over unchanged in these convertibles. The top has a smooth, tailored fit , with acoustical foam in the headliner to deliver a quiet ride with the top up. All these Pace Car Camros offer a convenient handle in the center of the car instead of the 2 latches on both sides of the car that a regular convertible had in 2011.Four strategic reinforcements enhance the already stiff body structure. They include a tower to tower brace under the hood, a transmission reinforcement brace, underbody tunnel brace and front to rear underbody V braces. The plastic seat covers are still on the front seats and the plastic cover is still covering the radio. I have the original window sticker showing the Indy Pace Car stuff was done by Chevrolet and not a fake done by some paint shop. The car cost over $48,000 brand new. It even still smells new. It has the automatic 6 speed transmission. This has to be one of the lowest mile Pace Cars in the Country if not the lowest with ONLY 32 MILES ON IT. This car is a collector car enthusiast dream car to add to their collection. Don't miss out on this car as it would be near impossible to find another with only 32 miles on it.
